Our stay at the Roper Bar Park & Store camping site was definitely an adventure. The unpowered camping sites were $10 per person, and it felt great to be in such a remote area surrounded by the wilderness. Brett, the host, was friendly and shared some local knowledge, which added a nice touch to the experience. The store had basic supplies, fuel was available, and there was even a swim-up bar, which added a bit of fun after a long day on the road but the place could use some maintenance. Overall, the camping experience at Roper Bar is decent if you’re not expecting luxury and just need a place to rest for the night.
