We weren’t fully ready for how grand this basilica is. The outside, with its golden mosaics and domes, is already impressive, but the inside is even more stunning. The mosaics shimmer in the light, and the details are amazing—we spent a lot of time just looking up at the ceiling. The museum upstairs also has a great view of Piazza San Marco and some original pieces from the basilica’s art and architecture.
