Set in the artsy neighborhood of Santa Teresa, Parque das Ruínas combines the historic ruins of a mansion with modern design elements such like metal staircases and ramps, offering sweeping views of downtown Rio, Guanabara Bay, and Sugarloaf Mountain. It’s a favorite spot for art shows, concerts, and local performances. The park is free to enter and a fantastic spot for photography, especially at sunset. You can reach it by tram or on foot. I recommend going to the top for an amazing 360 panoramic view.
