Despite the crowds, the grandeur of the baroque fountain, with its intricate sculptures and the sound of cascading water, left us speechless. We joined the tradition of tossing a coin into the fountain, hoping to return to Rome someday. In person, the details of Neptune’s chariot and the surrounding figures are far more impressive than any photo. For a quieter moment, we recommend visiting early in the morning or late at night when the area is less crowded.
