No trip to Rome is complete without seeing the Fontana di Trevi. Despite the crowds, the grandeur of the baroque fountain, with its intricate sculptures and the sound of cascading water, left us speechless. We joined the tradition of tossing a coin into the fountain, hoping to return to Rome someday. In person, the details of Neptune’s chariot and the surrounding figures are far more impressive than any photo. For a quieter moment, we recommend visiting early in the morning or late at night when the area is less crowded.
