This spot also known as Castel Sismondo left a lasting impression on us during our visit. Built in the 15th century by Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, it was designed to be both a palace and a fortress, showing off his power. Walking through the castle, you can still sense its original grandeur, even though only part of it remains today. We found it fascinating to learn how this place had transformed over the centuries—from a military stronghold to a prison and now a cultural center. The central courtyard was one of the highlights for us, especially with its detailed Gothic entrance and the Malatesta family’s coat of arms proudly displayed above. If you’re in Rimini, it’s definitely a spot worth exploring.
