Flavour 5/5 - a dream. this was gone, straight in my belly, almost before I even took any pictures! Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi - 5/5 - I'm in love with this street and this whole area. This bakery has a sister cheese shop next door. How wonderful!

Flavour: 3/5 You can get a very standard croissant here - it's a little too buttery and heavy for my taste. Affordability: 5/5 Typical bakery prices, most goodies are under 1.50! Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 Its pink interiors are adorable, but the real winner is the terrace, with its little olive trees, which is bathed in sun in summer.

Flavour 5/5 - wow! super unusual shape (it is long) but delicious flavour and a special crispiness on the outside. Affordability 2/5 - €4 for the croissant, but so delicious it's kinda worth it, it is the Ritz after all Je ne sais quoi 5/5 - the chef was there, chatting to us about various new recipes for Madeleines. There is also a cute indoors area which can get busy so get there early!

BAKERY CHAIN Flavour 4/5 - the plain butter croissant is just ok, but oh wow this place has a great range of things and the score is boosted by the rocher croissant which is a chocolate bomb and is amazing, or the pistachio one ooooffff Affordability 5/5 - €1.50 for a croissant, and all the fun creative goodies come with a premium Je ne sais quoi 4/5 - I really enjoy their relaxed but elegant aesthetic and the creativity that goes into innovative viennoiseries and patisseries

Flavour 4/5 - tasty and flaky and all the right things Affordability 5/5 - €1.30 true neighbourhood style Je ne sais quoi 2/5 - no frills, neighbourhood feel bakery, gets super busy at lunch

Flavour 4/5 - yup. it's a good one. Especially dipped in their hot chocolate. Affordability 5/5 - €1.20 for a croissant a stone's throw from the Eiffel tower, not bad Je ne sais quoi - 4/5 - so beautifully decorated and if you're lucky you'll get a table outside and people watch for hours. The hot chocolate is incredible.

Flavour 3/5 - VEGAN croissant here! it's a little dry in texture but otherwise lovely Affordability 4/5 - €2 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi - 5/5 - cute vibe café, everything is vegan, very nice to find a quiet peaceful moment right in the centre of Paris

Flavour 3/5 - the mini croissants are a little sticky, I'm unfortunately not a fan of a glaze Affordability 4/5 - €0/90 for a mini croissant Je ne sais quoi - 3/5 - the mini croissants look super cute, and this place is right next to the Arc de Triomphe!

Flavour 1/5 - this is the most aesthetic croissant I have eaten, but unfortunately it's all air, no flavour Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 for the croissant, at least it's not expensive Je ne sais quoi - 4/5 - beautiful area, and super cute boulangerie, can grab your snack and walk up to the Eiffel tower if you want

Flavour: 3/5 I had really high hopes but it's quite an average croissant. Affordability: 2/5 The croissant was over €2 and I don’t get it since this area is supposed to be more affordable. Je ne sais quoi: 3/5 I love this area with the gorgeous street art, but the bakery itself is reasonably plain.

Flavour: 5/5 An impressive croissant, good texture, strong on the butter. Affordability: 2/5 It costs €3 so it's definitely on the expensive side. But it's right in the jardin du Palais Royal so makes sense. Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 This is of the best parts of Paris: Palais Royal. The garden is perfect to walk around in with a croissant and coffee so you can get yours here.

Flavour 5/5 - one of the absolute best in Paris Affordability 5/5 - €1.20 at a true neighbourhood price Je ne sais quoi - 2/5 - the staff are lovely, but nothing special beyond that, also beware a bit of a queue but it moves fast

Flavour 2/5 This was unfortunately a bit of a dry croissant. Affordability 5/5 Standard pricing, but not worth it Je ne sais quoi 3/5 It's a beautiful listed building in a cute neighbourhood! But other than that, I did not feel like this boulangerie was worth a trip.

Flavour 3/5 It's a good texture and reasonably crispy Affordability 5/5 €1.20 is near enough the cheapest you will get a croissant in Paris! Je ne sais quoi 3/5 A couple of little tables you could sit at if you want, nothing super special.

Flavour 4/5 - Delicious - but I couldn't finish it, just a little dry. Affordability 4/5 - €1.90 Je ne sais quoi 5/5 - I love it here, I do. Chocolate bears everywhere. The best patisserie. I had the Black Forest gâteau and it was incredible.

Flavour 2/5 - no actual croissants, but they had little croissant shaped treats called rugelach, that were just a bit too sticky for me. Affordability 3/5 - €1.70 Je ne sais quoi 3/5 - small, not in a cosy way but in a stuffy way. I didn't love it.

Flavour 4/5 - I had the pain au chocolat here as they are famous for chocolate, it's good but I've had better! Affordability 3/5 - €2.90 this is a patisserie on the higher end Je ne sais quoi - 3/5 - it's nice but as it is a chain it feels a little clinical, without personality

Flavour: 4/5 I had the zaatar croissant and it was unreal. Wow. Possibly the best savoury croissant I've eaten? The texture is good, the flavour is PERFECT. Affordability: 5/5 €1.40 for a fancy zaatar croissant which was astonishing - usually the specialty croissants are much more. Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 Nothing crazy about the bakery, but I was today years old when I learnt that Nicolas Flamel was a real person and his house is still standing right here in Paris, 2 doors down from this bakery. Mind blown.

Flavour 3/5 Croissant is a good level of crispy, a nice flavour to it. But the eclairs were better 😂 Affordability 4/5 The pastries and cakes are very reasonably priced! The artisan bread is expensive but delicious (€5 for a small loaf, hello!) Je ne sais quoi 4/5 I love the little set up where the cafe is on one side and the bakery is on the other. I kind of wish more bakeries had this type of seating.

GLUTEN FREE Flavour 2/5 - to me this is more like a glazed bread than a croissant, but it is gluten free! Affordability 2/5 - €2.50 for sitting in Je ne sais quoi - 4/5 - fun place, got a really really nice tote bag, and if you have to be gluten free maybe it's worth it. Also copain means friend in French, but also literally means person you share your bread with and I think that's beautiful!

Flavour 4/5 - very fluffy and tasty SQUARE croissant Affordability 3/5 - €6 for a small breakfast menu Je ne sais quoi - 2/5 - I went in with high expectations for this bakery / restaurant / bar, but I wasn't so impressed with sitting in - best for a takeaway if you're in the area

Flavour: 2/5 Slightly below average, a bit flavourless sadly. Affordability: 5/5 €1.5 is normal Je ne sais quoi: 4/5 A little tight on space, but very cosy and really friendly team.

Flavour: 3/5 A decent fluffy croissant, very buttery. Affordability: 4/5 I paid €8.50 for coffee and a croissant to sit in, which is pretty normal for Paris. Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 A really lovely and cosy space to rest in the Marais.

Flavour 3/5 - not as flaky as I like it, kinda stiff, but the flavour is nice, full and buttery Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 which is especially great value for some of their high end locations like Rue Rivoli Je ne sais quoi 4/5 - wonderful decor, cute seating area. very close to the Pere Lachaise cemetery if you plan on exploring that!

Flavour 4/5 - beautiful flavour, great flakiness and just right on the butter, an inch away from perfection Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi - 5/5 - I LOVE this place! It's the oldest patisserie in Paris. The area is gorgeous. AND you can get my favourite Paris souvenir here - mini croissant made of marzipan!

Flavour 4/5 - ok this one is very close to greatness, just lacks a little bit of sweetness for me Affordability 3/5 - €2.60 for the croissant, this is on the pricier end of bakeries Je ne sais quoi - 5/5 - the VERSAILLES of bakeries! so beautiful, painted ceilings, gold mirrors, full parisian aesthetic.

Flavour 4/5 - beautiful flavour, great flakiness and just right on the butter, an inch away from perfection Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi - 3/5 - this place stays open on a Sunday afternoon when many of them close, and the staff are very sweet!

TRY THE WALNUT CROISSANT Flavour 5/5 - walnuts. in a croissant. absolute genius. I loved it. the rest are also good! Affordability 3/5 - €2.80 for the croissant, but so delicious it's kinda worth it Je ne sais quoi 5/5 - the vibes are Parisian baroque aesthetic, exquisite. and the staff will happily explain to you macaron flavours for days

Flavour 3/5 The flavour is all there, a balanced level of butter, but the texture was a little dry unfortunately. Affordability 5/5 The standard for the center of Paris €1.40 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi 4/5 lives up to its name! Gorgeous and for how beautiful it is not too busy. I would love to also try their Marie Antoinette tea room next door!

Flavour 4/5 - very close to a 5 - just a little dry on texture! perhaps if you get it warm first thing in the morning Affordability 5/5 - €1.40 for the croissant Je ne sais quoi 5/5 - a woman-owned small chain that is producing an incredible range of products, including little bags of biscuits you can take home as a souvenir, I'm sold

Flavour: 5/5 Wow. I picked up a fantastic olive bread from here, AND a brioche au chocolat that blew my mind, delicious dark chocolate inside. Affordability: 4/5 Everything is artisanal and very high quality, so it is worth the slightly elevated price, I paid €8 for both bread and brioche. Je ne sais quoi: 3/5 Hidden away, in the 20e, on a street that doesn't have much else, but a cute little spot with an open kitchen!
