Nice little butterfly zoo focuses on European species. This cute garden has a greenhouse filled with butterflies. Best of all, it’s free to visit! Just be sure to check the opening hours as it tends to close early.

If you love éclairs, this is the spot. Éclair de Génie takes this classic French pastry to a whole new level with stunning designs and unique flavors. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.

Louvre Museum
The Louvre is massive and packed with incredible art, from the Mona Lisa to ancient sculptures. It’s a must-see, but definitely plan your visit so you don’t get overwhelmed. The building itself is gorgeous but you’ll have to wait about 20 minutes to get to the Mona Lisa. Also be aware of pickpockets in that area.
Eiffel Tower
You can’t come to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. Whether you go all the way to the top or just admire it from below, it’s absolutely magical. The best time to visit is at night when it lights up and sparkles every hour. I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, especially if you want to go up to the summit.

Catalunya en petit
In Sant Andreu you find a small front-garden world made by the self-taught artist Isidre Castells. Along the wall and inside the garden he created two-dimensional replicas of Catalan landmarks with mosaics and shells. Sagrada Família, Montserrat and many more appear in miniature. He worked here for about twenty years, starting in the mid 1980s, and the site is still cared for by his family. You view it from the street.
Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Kyoto’s most beautiful places. Walking through the tall bamboo feels magical, with soft light shining through. Visitors enjoy the calm atmosphere and great photo spots. Near Togetsukyo Bridge, it’s a must-see in the Arashiyama district. Visit in the early morning for a better experience, and explore nearby shops and restaurants.
