We made our way up to Cape Byron Lighthouse after hearing it’s the easternmost point of Australia. The hike up is short but steep, and the reward is incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. We were told by locals that if you get lucky you can spot some whales breaching just off the coast. It’s also an epic spot to catch the sunrise if you’re an early riser (or just coming back from a sunrise surf at The Pass). We loved how it felt like a perfect balance of nature and history in one stunning location.
