Wategos Beach has that dreamy, secluded feel, but it’s still close enough to Byron Bay that it’s easy to reach. We spent a whole afternoon here, swimming in the calm, crystal-clear water and surfing. The vibe is super laid-back, with families and surfers all sharing the space. We even spotted a few dolphins swimming not too far from the shore, which was amazing. It felt like one of those perfect beach days where time slows down and everything feels right.
