This no-frills taqueria is the only 1 Michelin star taco stand in the world. They expertly make each tortilla to order alongside the mouthwatering meats. Our favourites were the Gaonera (filet) & the Bistec (steak) tacos, but you can't go wrong with anything on their very affordable menu. This will be the cheapest Michelin star meal you will ever have, but the line up can be crazy, so go early or be prepared to wait!

This famed mochi shop in Nara is best known for its lightning-fast mochi-pounding demonstrations and freshly prepared yomogi (mugwort) mochi filled with red bean paste.

We loved the street food available in this area; the entire two blocks are packed with food stands offering everything from tacos to tamales. It truly is a hidden gem.

A humble San Rafael stop for everyday Mexican food. Simple tortillas, generous meat, and salsas that taste like home. Breakfast and early lunch are the sweet spot when the comal is busy and fresh. It is the type of place neighbors recommend.

A handful of food stalls located at the base of the steps up to Sevanavank Monastery. The bakery stall makes fresh gata - a local sweet treat that you have to try during your time in Armenia!

This hot-dog stand dates to 1937 and it has simple but delicious hot dogs. You’ll probably have to wait in line a bit, but it’s worth it.
