A massive rock that shoots straight out of the ground, 740 steps to the top, insane views of lakes and mountains everywhere. The colorful town of Guatapé right next door is half the reason to go.

Ipiales A Gothic church built straight into a canyon near the Ecuador border. Looks like something from a fairy tale. One of the most dramatic churches on the planet and it's in the middle of nowhere.

Boyacá Colombia's pottery capital. Every single building is painted in wild colors, and artisans sell handmade ceramics on every corner. Feels like a fever dream village that shouldn't exist.

A marble canyon with a crystal-clear river running through it. Cave exploration by headlamp, tubing, zip-lining through the jungle canopy. Halfway between Medellín and Bogotá. Full Indiana Jones vibes.

Bogotá Bogotá's biggest market. Exotic fruits you've never heard of, fresh juices for pennies, flowers stacked to the ceiling, and the best people-watching breakfast spot in the city. Go early.

Santander Second-largest canyon in the world. Cable car across it, paragliding over it, or hike from the bottom in brutal heat. The views are absolutely insane and almost nobody outside Colombia knows about it.

Chocó Pacific jungle coast. Whale watching July through October, empty black sand beaches, zero infrastructure. Only reachable by boat or tiny prop plane. This is raw, untouched Colombia at its most wild.
