A sprawling city built over ancient lakes, Mexico City is a living mosaic of culture, neighborhoods, and history. This map charts the pulse of CDMX — from its legendary Centro Histórico to its creative hubs, leafy districts, and vibrant local barrios. It’s a guide to the city’s rhythm: chaotic, colorful, and endlessly alive.

La Merced Market

By @TakeTimeToTravel

The largest traditional retail market in Mexico City, with everything from fresh produce and clothing to mouthwatering street food. We enjoyed a guided tour that also included the Sonora Witchcraft Market as well as tons of tasty food stops along the way.

Address: Circunvalación, La Merced, Zona Centro, Venustiano Carranza, 15100 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

About @TakeTimeToTravel

Hey, It's Tom and Mike, 5 years ago, we decided to sell everything, other than what we could fit into a couple of suitcases and travel full time. We started our journey exploring and eating through Canada in places like Montreal, Quebec City, Mont Tremblant, Vancouver, Victoria, and Niagara Falls, and then started travelling internationally to places like Mexico, Thailand, Greece, France, Portugal & Spain. It's been an incredible experience, but there's lots more to check out! Join us on our travels as we explore and eat our way around the World!
