A charming and sheltered cove popular with locals. The waters are calm and shallow, making it perfect for families and snorkeling. There is a small parking area.

Plage De L'ilet Du Gosier
A tropical paradise just off the coast. Home to a charming red-and-white lighthouse and a cozy beach bar (Ti' Robinson) for Ti' Punch and local snacks. Reachable in 10 mins via shuttle boat from Tabarin beach pier (€5 return), or by kayak/swim for the adventurous.

You can acces the hotel gate to get to the beach, follow the signs on the road (do no get into the reception). You can rent the sunbeds if available, otherwise they're reserved to the hotel's clients. There is also a beach restaurant and bar on-site.

Plage grande anse des salines
Pristine lagoon with white sand. Best for: Snorkeling (look for colorful reef fish) and panoramic views. Note: Access is via a short path from the road. Perfect stop before or after visiting Pointe des Châteaux.

The heart of Le Gosier! A lively beach with great views of Îlet du Gosier. It’s famous for being lit up at night, so it's perfect for a late-evening swim. Surrounded by several bars and restaurants for a sunset drink. Pro tip: park by the park.

Big parking lot and a very long wild beach. My absolute favourite from the list. If you're lucky you'll see local fishermen, fish by hand and net.

Incredibly good haitian fusion and creole cuisine, perfect for a lunch before taking the boat to Gosier island or enjoying plage Datcha.

Anse Tabarin
Located right next to La Datcha. This is where you catch the shuttle boat to Îlet du Gosier. Calm waters and a nice grassy area for relaxing under the trees.

Plage Du Souffleur
The perfect, calm spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Ideal for couples and families. Here you could find many local food vendors either directly on the beach or in the free pic nic area overlooking the sea. Big parking and shade-friendly spots on the sand.

The beach of Caravelle
One of the most iconic beaches in Guadeloupe. Don’t let the Club Med hotel entrance intimidate you; the beach is public! Park on the side street (Chemin de la Caravelle) and walk through. Please respect the hotel’s private lounge chairs/areas while enjoying the stunning palm trees and turquoise lagoon.

Plage de Bois Jolan sud
An extension of the main Bois Jolan beach. Even wilder and more peaceful. Shallow, turquoise waters shaded by palm trees. It's perfect if you want more privacy than the main spot.

The perfect start to the Pointe des Chateaux hike. Beautiful to take pictures, but too dangerous to dive.

A black sand beach across from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Icebergs drift out, wash back in, and land on the shore. The ocean polishes the ice so it glitters like diamonds on jet black sand.

Reynisfjara Beach

Jagged rocks jutting from the sea just off this black sand beach with basalt formations. The black volcanic sand gives a surreal vibe, the cliffs are wild and cinematic, raw and beautiful. Incredible photo opportunities. Easy access, and in season this is where to see puffins in Iceland on the hill.

Unique and pretty experience. Small glacier pieces washed ashore on the black sand, like diamonds in the waves. Even with tourists around it is worth it. Wildlife and ice together, incredible peacefulness, one of my favorite spots around the island.

Diamond Beach has black sand with chunks of ice that have drifted from Jökulsárlón and washed ashore. The contrast of clear ice and dark volcanic sand is beautiful. It can get a little crowded, but walk a bit further along the beach for quiet spots.

Reynisfjara Beach

Reynisfjara is the most famous black volcanic sand beach in Iceland. It has tall basalt columns, unique rock formations, a cave in the cliffs, and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the sea. The waves are very strong and dangerous, so it is important to stay well back from the water.

This beautiful black sand beach has pieces of iceberg drifting ashore. A must stop area, as the contrast between the clear ice and the dark shore is amazing.

This beach’s sand has an amazing yellow color. The drive here is a little steep and curvy, so be careful. If you’re lucky, you can see seals here.
