This gallery features more than 35 local and international artists, all of whom live in Barcelona, and most of whom work in urban art. The gallery was created out of the need to reflect what is happening in the streets of Barcelona and make it accessible to the public. Its motto is “Make artists happy again,” as its main driving force is to provide artists with the tools they need to continue creating and expanding their work.

Housed in a beautiful neoclassical building. Come for the art, stay for one of the city’s best art bookshops and the charming restaurant and café. I particularly like the focus on Black, African, and African diaspora artists.

Irorimura Gallery is a small, quiet art space tucked away in the Nakazakichō neighborhood, an area known for its creative vibe and old houses turned into cafés and studios. The gallery showcases rotating exhibitions, often by local or emerging artists, in a simple and intimate setting.

One of those art spots that just feels right - tucked away in the Gothic Quarter, mixing classic charm with fresh, modern art energy.

In Gràcia you find a small illustration gallery and studio that feels local and welcoming. Since 2013 they mix original works, prints, screen prints and small editions. The team curates solo shows and a recurring collective with Catalan and international illustrators. Exhibitions change often, so each visit is different.

This contemporary art space highlights the work of African artists, from established names to up-and-coming talent. The gallery hosts changing exhibitions and often organizes artist talks and events. Admission is generally free, but it's a good idea to check the schedule online before visiting to see what’s on.

Right outside of the Waverley Station you will find this multi-story gallery featuring both a plenty of free art to peruse and special paid-to-enter exhibitions. It even has its own Mimi's Bakehouse!
