Skógafoss has been featured in many, many films, TV shows, all those types of things. But it’s epic. It’s absolutely epic. You don’t have to hike to get there either. You park in the parking lot, pay the fine to park, and then you just walk to the waterfall. The water isn’t very deep, so there’s quite a few people actually walking around in the water.

This canyon was a surprise end is amazing, like amazing. It’s the most beautiful place we have ever seen with our eyes. That being said, to get up there, it’s about a two to four hour hike. So we recommend going as far as you can because the viewpoints just get better and better.

This waterfall is absolutely epic. It's a cool spot. It's about an hour outside of Reykjavik and I don’t think anything can adequately prepare you for just how majestic it is. If it’s colder outside, definitely layer up and wear some waterproof clothing, otherwise you will get soaked.

A canyon created by progressive erosion by flowing water from glaciers. There’s multiple places to stop along the route. The farther you go, the more you see. Yeah, it’s absolutely epic. There are multiple waterfalls and birds flying everywhere in the canyon. There aren’t very many people up there either.

Another black sand beach near Vik. Looks a lot like Reynisfjara but with fewer people. The waves are still wild, the cliffs are still crazy, and it’s just an epic place to take in Iceland’s coastline.

It’s a legitimate black sand beach, not black stones or pebbles. It is black sand, and it’s absolutely beautiful. There are epic columns and pillars out in the ocean.

A headland on the southeastern Icelandic coast. Stokksnes is just so dramatic, so beautiful. The access to get into Stokksnes is the same access point to get to the Viking village and it is one of our favorite spots in all Iceland.

I joined a guided tour of the crypts beneath the cathedral, and it was fascinating to learn about the past rulers and saints tied to this place. If you’re interested in history, I highly recommend booking the tour in advance. It’s a peaceful and impressive spot that really showcases the city’s rich history.

This modern cathedral was consecrated in 1986. It has a 73 meters tower (you need to pay to go up to the top). The interior is beautiful, but modest in comparison.

Reyniskirkja Church

Beautiful little red roof church overlooking Vík and the black sand beaches. Great at sunset, colors hit hard, incredible. Free to visit, parking nearby, easy stop. 🌅Off the beaten path spot in Iceland.

Reykjavík’s iconic church and the city’s best viewpoint. Designed to echo Iceland’s basalt columns and mountain forms. Completed in 1986 and visible from almost everywhere in town. ⛪️

Parròquia de Sant Pacià

In Sant Andreu you find a quiet neo-Gothic church with an early work by Antoni Gaudí at your feet. Joan Torras Guardiola designed the church and asked his former student to draw the floor mosaic. It runs along the central nave and transept with floral and geometric motifs and the initials J and M from the original convent school.

Beautiful catholic church, the oldest in Yerevan.

Beautiful monastery, free to enter and on a clear day you can see Mount Ararat (important Armenian symbol)

Medieval monastery that is built into the cliff, surrounded by impressive scenery. Free to enter and there’s lots of areas to explore

Sevanavank Monastery

9th century monastery that overlooks Lake Sevan, free to enter, short but steep walk up to reach the top.
