What I love about Anse Michel is how peaceful it is—no big resorts, no noisy crowds, just nature at its best. The white sand is super soft, and there are plenty of trees if you want some shade. Just a heads-up: if you come on a windy day, it can feel a bit stronger than other beaches, but that’s what makes it fun for sports!

A hidden gem worth the effort. If you love adventure, you’ll love Batibou. It’s a bit tricky to get to—a bumpy road and a short hike—but once you arrive, it’s pure magic. The beach is stunning, with palm trees lining the shore and barely any people around. There’s usually a small shack selling drinks and snacks, but it’s best to bring your own just in case.

You can start with a leisurely walk through the lush botanical gardens and admire the impressive sculptures. You can spend hours exploring the estate and end your visit with a delightful rum tasting session.

Not your average waterfall. This isn’t a place you just walk up to. The climb down is intense, and the access to the beach and the bottom of the waterfall is only for the prepared. But you can have access to the upper part, which is beautiful and worth it.

A paradise for nature lovers. Every turn leads to something new—hidden pools, giant ferns, and breathtaking views. The Emerald Pool is perfect for a swim, and the Trafalgar Falls are incredible.

I loved this place! The tour is short but amazing. They have over 20 rums and liqueurs, and you get to pour your own. The staff are great, cracking jokes while explaining how it’s all made. Super fun and relaxed.

Definitely worth a visit. There's a million points of view of this waterfall and all of them look great. You can also walk behind the fall, full curtain of water, spray and light, incredible. There is a place to buy gifts and food, and parking is paid. Easy stop and so beautiful. 💧

Fardagafoss Waterfall

An easy hike leads to this waterfall, with a smaller waterfall and a canyon along the way. Great views.

A waterfall that is often skipped in the biggest tours, so it’s quieter and less crowded. The trails getting there are beautiful.

A hidden gem. You need to go for a 15 minutes hike from the parking spot to get to this orange waterfall. The views are amazing.

This was one of the most exciting places I ever been, the raw landscape and those huge natural monuments impress everyone one even the more skeptical 🧐. Easily accessible from the parking lot. On a sunny day, you will likely see rainbow in front of the fall as well.

This blue waterfall is a short walk from the parking lot. Colors are so pretty here, clear blue against the black rock. So worth it.

Cachoeiras do Horto

Cachoeiras do Horto is a beautiful natural area within the city, offering a series of waterfalls accessible by hiking trails from the Horto neighborhood. Some of the waterfalls include Quebra, Chuveiro, and Jequitibá. The trails can be a bit challenging, especially after rain, so it is best to wear sturdy footwear or take an Uber to the starting point. The scenery along the way is stunning and makes the hike well worth it.

Goðafoss Waterfall

This beautiful waterfall flows over a curved 12 meter precipice. The paths and viewpoints are very accessible, and there’s even a little hotel nearby.
