Iceland - Vík í Mýrdal
Reynisfjara viewpoint
By @thebritishexplorer
An elevated look over Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, the basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Most visitors head to Dyrhólaey for the panorama. Big coastline. Big drama. 🌊
Address: CV3W+8CR, 871 Vik, Iceland
Why go
You get a safer, wider view of the beach arc, the sea stacks and the Dyrhólaey rock arch. In summer it is also great for birdwatching.
Tips
I recommend choosing this viewpoint when beach conditions are risky. It is a brilliant alternative to standing on the sand.
